This is a card game that I have made, heavily inspired by a previous card game I created when I was 10. Most of the creatures are redesigns of my previous creations, so more redesigned than others, although there are a number of new designs. Rules can be read below the gallery:
RULES:
· Before playing the game, both players decide upon how many Monster cards to use, and how many Item cards to use. The usage of different card rarities can also be decided upon.
· Once decided, both players shuffle their chosen deck.
· Each turn, both players draw a card.
· Item cards can be placed to the side for later use, or used on the turn they are drawn.
· One Monster card can be placed in battle. The Monster with the higher Speed stat moves first.
· Up to three Monster cards can be held in each player’s hand, and one additional in battle.
· Players take it in turns to Attack, Block or use an Item card until one player’s Monster’s HP hits 0. The Monster has then ‘fainted’, and must be placed in the discard pile. This player can then place another Monster card.
· Each Monster has a unique ability. This becomes in effect when the Monster’s card is placed in battle. It ends when the Monster faints.
· Monsters with blue name bars can only be placed in battle after the corresponding Monster card and Item card have been played. Once the new Monster card has been placed, the original monster must be discarded.
· Some items have two uses, shown by a white bar and a blue bar. The blue bar can only be chosen if the corresponding Monster Card is active and the transformation card is in hand.
Attack
· Each Monster’s Attack stat is displayed on the ‘Attack’ bar (red).
· This lowers the opponent’s HP by the displayed number each turn it is used.
Defence
· Each Monster’s Defence stat is displayed on the ‘Defence’ bar (blue).
· If a Monster’s Defence stat is greater than the opposing Monster’s Attack stat, the damage taken is halved.
Speed
· Each Monster’s Speed stat is displayed on the ‘Speed’ bar (yellow).
· The Monster with the higher Speed stat moves first.
Block
· Each Monster’s Block stat is displayed on the ‘Block’ bar (green).
· The player can decide to block instead of attack.
· If the Monster’s Block stat is greater than the opposing Monster’s Attack, this block will be successful, and the user’s Monster will take no damage for the turn.
